Join us for another edition of our wonderful concert previews at the Santa Cruz Civic Center, featuring Maestro Danny Stewart, and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, to be performed during the weekend’s concerts.

Carmina Burana has always been a favorite for our symphony family. Danny will have unique insights into Carl Orff and this cantata, composed in 1936. It is based on 24 poems from a 13th Century medieval collection. The poems, originally published in Latin and German in 1847, were found in a Benedictine Abbey near Munich, Germany.

And maybe Danny will give us a glimpse of what he has in store for us for the 2022~2023 season!
